Gas Station Gothic is Open for Submissions
Gas Station Gothic is seeking short fiction, poetry, and visual art for it's debut publication. We are looking for pieces that touch on gothic themes and imagery while remaining at least partially grounded in the everyday. We are looking for subtle and atmospheric horror, and while we do not have a rigid criterion for what is considered "gothic" we encourage readers to find an element of the genre they closely resonate with and find a way to reinvent it. We believe anything can be made gothic with the right framing; the more ordinary the premise the better.
Guidelines
Fiction pieces should not exceed 3,000 words and poetry should not exceed 3-5 pages. Word document files should be emailed to gasstationgothic@gmail.com along with the writer's name, contact information, and the pieces title no later than November 1st, 2026.
